Scott “Scotto” Platsky
I’m Scotto—a technology geek, community builder, problem-solver, and occasional “Benevolent Dictator.” Originally from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, I lived in New York City and New Jersey before making Arizona home. Throughout that journey, I’ve enjoyed connecting with people, sharing what I know, and helping turn ideas into something real.

My professional life began in healthcare. After graduating from Wagner College in 1986, I spent 13 years as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in New York City and Phoenix. That work brought together technical precision and personal care, teaching me the importance of helping people feel comfortable with something unfamiliar. I carried that approach into technology and education, including 24 years as Training Director at Fennemore Craig, where I helped people understand their tools, solve problems, and build confidence.
Community has always given that work a larger purpose. Through AZ StRUT, I support efforts to refurbish computers for schools and nonprofits, helping more people access technology and the opportunities it creates. My involvement with the Burning Man Project and leadership in Arizona’s Saguaro Man reflect that same desire to contribute. I enjoy the planning, participation, and sometimes chaotic work of bringing people together and helping strangers become friends.
Retirement gives me more freedom to follow my curiosity. Digital assets, particularly XRP, are among my interests as I explore how technology can change the way people exchange money and value. I still like having something new to learn, a problem to work through, and a project worth getting excited about.
Sharing it all with my wife, Ginny—better known as WildChild—makes the adventure richer. Our travels have included Paris and Jamaica in 2024, Puerto Vallarta in 2025, and a chefs cruise and Miami in 2026. At home or away, we keep making room for friendship, laughter, and whatever catches our curiosity next.
